My Story
Alexis (she/her) moved from Eagle, Idaho to Phoenix, Arizona in 2022 to pursue a degree in journalism. Her interest in journalism began in high school, where she was the editor-in-chief of her school newspaper and the technical director for her schools broadcast team. Now, she works as a professional in the fields of journalism and marketing while studying at ASU. Her passion for journalism was ignited by her aspirations to travel the world, meet new people and showcase the untold stories of diverse communities. Her hope is to work as a documentarian with a focus on the outdoors, adventuring and various world cultures.

She is an avid outdoorswoman and when she is not in the newsroom can usually be found on a hike or swinging in her hammock. While in Idaho, Alexis was very involved in environmental education and volunteered with the Idaho Conservation League.
